To create this interactive public art sculpture, we worked with thousands of residents all across the City of Richmond. Engaging with an expansive diversity of people we set up slabs of clay at city-wide festivals, neighborhood events, local non-profits, and public schools and asked people to press something in the clay they were carrying with them. These slabs were cast and formed into 6 cubes that function as benches and are set to be installed at Greater Richmond Transit Authority bus stops.
