This installation is a creative reuse of over 10,000 plastic bottle caps depicting the water cycle as it moves through the Virginia landscape. This massive community effort engaged with students, parents, volunteers, and local community organizations. Over the course of a year students collected bottle caps and sorted them by color. Parents and local volunteers helped drill holes into the bottle caps. Hundreds of students, parents and volunteers helped zip tie the bottle caps together. It is installed at an outdoor classroom space and provides extra shading and educational enrichment on the water cycle, creative reuse, and recycling.
