In collaboration with The Richmond Symphony, this image was created to celebrate the James River during the Festival of the River. To create it, we engaged volunteers all across Richmond to create felt, tied blankets. Additionally, we invited the audience to bring a blanket to be included in the mosaic. The artwork became a blanket drive and all the blankets were donated to local agencies serving the homeless including; Virginia Supportive Housing, Housing Families First, and Doorways.
